The team at Capital Cat Clinic is excited to welcome Dr. Kristin Zajaczkowski as the clinic's new owner and veterinarian.
Dr. Kristin graduated with distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and has spent her career providing compassionate, evidence-based care to cats and their families throughout Greater Victoria. She is Fear Free Certified, a Cat Friendly Certified Professional, a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian, and a long-standing member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. She also holds certification in Canine Physical Rehabilitation, bringing additional insight into muscle and joint health for her feline patients. This year, she completed the two-year Feline Medicine Distance Education Course offered by the University of Sydney, further expanding her advanced training in feline health. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry and oral surgery, ophthalmology, musculoskeletal disorders, and palliative care.
Dr. Kristin believes every cat deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, and respect. Reducing fear and stress is central to her approach, ensuring every visit is as comfortable as possible for both cats and their families.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband, Bryan, and their two young children, Thea and Henry. Their home is shared with three cats and a dog, and she loves gardening, caring for her koi pond, and needlework—activities best enjoyed with a cat nearby.
Taking over Capital Cat Clinic, Victoria's only privately owned feline-exclusive veterinary clinic, is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. Her vision is to build on the clinic's outstanding reputation while continuing to provide the highest standard of modern feline medicine, fear free care, client education, and exceptional service for every cat and family who walks through the door.
