Dr. Lee grew up in Ireland and received her veterinary license from the University of Dublin Trinity College. After a brief time doing farm rounds as a rural vet in Ireland, Dr. Lee moved to Canada.  She worked in small-animal practice in Alberta, and then in Victoria, before deciding to build a cat hospital.

"Over my career I have seen a huge increase in the amount of information available for all the species. Treatments and diagnostic options have advanced to a point where it seems difficult to maintain current knowledge and expertise in all the species. Therefore, I have chosen to focus on cats and their unique requirements, providing them with a warm, comfortable environment, in the absence of dogs. Feline practice is an exciting field to work in and I feel privileged to serve and witness the bond between cats and their people."

Dr. Lee resides on the Saanich Peninsula with her husband, two long-haired cats, Missy and Mini; a Collie named Charlie, and shepherd X Daisy.
