Dr. Jackie Lee
Dr. Lee grew up in Ireland and received her DVM from the University of Dublin Trinity College. After a brief time working as a rural vet in Ireland, doing farm rounds every day, Dr. Lee moved to Canada. She worked in small-animal practice in Alberta and then in Victoria before deciding to build a full-service cat hospital.
"Over my career I have seen a huge increase in the amount of information available on the diseases of all species. Treatments and diagnostic options have advanced to where it seems difficult to maintain current knowledge and have a good skill set for all the species. I have chosen just one species, cats, so that I could exclusively focus on the their unique needs and also provide a warm, comfortable environment for them, with no dogs present. Feline practice is an exciting field to work in and I feel privileged to witness and serve the human/animal bond between cats and their people."
Dr. Lee currently lives on the peninsula and has two, 2-year-old, black, long-haired cats, Missy and Mini, and a Collie named Charlie.
